  • Miss Who

Mass media, popular culture, industrious market drivers and progression in aesthetic medical science have formed an eco-system to tease and satisfy individual’s need in improving self-appearance. That eco-system creates social pressure and the desire to look better (measured against public figures), younger or like someone else. Some spare every effort, time, money and endure bodily pain so that they could feel confident, ‘good’ and accepted.  The act of modifying the appearance of one-self, no matter how drastic, is gradually being accepted as a social normality.

The relentless pursuit of ‘modifying oneself’ is intriguing. The result generated although artificial could create beauty that is at the very same time, unnerving.
